A Challenge To You

Something for everyone to consider each day.

How can I tell you in so many ways
Of all of the strife that affects our days
And how each of us can alter our plight
When determining how to let in the light?

Now don't go away
And don't jump to conclusion
This isn't about religion,
That is just an illusion.

It is about each of us, and how we spend our day,
And the effects upon others in each and every way.
How each of us with a warm little smile,
Can make the day of another, at least for awhile.

So take up this challenge,
And don't act so dismayed
It is easy to do
I shouldn't have to persuade.

Send a smile to a stranger,
If you pass one today,
Or hold the door open
As you pass on your way.
Spread a kind word to another,
As you go about the day.
Remember the effect,
And go about your merry way.
