Another trip around this mountain
Another deceiving u-turn
Drank from the wrong fountain
Another wretched return

Another story untold
Another page not written
A piece of my soul I sold
A part of my spirit smitten

Another blow to my body
In a game that I can’t win
My mind lost and shoddy
Another dark memory within

Another morning with regret
Another day spent in decay
Another week in debt
To myself again, betray

Another failure to PRESS
Another emotion prevailed
Another time to regress
Another attempt derailed

Another prayer said at the wrong time
Another plea to be forgiven
Same old mountain to climb
Another batch of His mercy given
