There's a void
an emptiness
a numbness
that no one can feel
No one can see
You reach out
but your arms are frozen
your strength is gone
your mind feels numb.
You close your eyes
because the weariness
seeps in
to a frozen world
where nothing stirs
and nothing knows
the aching of the soul.
