I wrote this for a friend who father had passed away

Your Best Friend

I wish there was something I could say or do
To take all of this hurt and pain away for you
I know it feels like it will never end
I want you to know your heart will mend
I know right now it's hard to understand why
Why he had to leave, he had to say goood-bye
I know you feel that your world is falling apart
But remember he loved you with all of his heart
His parting has left a void in your life
He's in heaven now with your mother his wife
Together they're watching over you from above
And they're sending to you all of their love
I know that he wouldn't want you to be sad
So remember all of the good times you both had
Even though his time on earth has come to an end
He'll always be your Daddy, your Best friend
