Loneliness

hiding in shame and loneliness

loneliness like a veil
a shroud around my heart
it suffocates me
it is tearing me apart

clouding up my mind
hiding in my eyes
enveloping me
with its tragic cries

my soul so barren
i can only feel pain
of broken, shattered dreams
falling around me like the rain

i sit all alone
in my room at night
swallowed by the darkness
shadowed by the moonlight

my heart is beating
tears trail down my face
i hide where no one sees me
i drown in my disgrace
