Night Skies

Laying under the stars at night,thinking of a loved one overseas

Laying in the grass at night under the stars,
Then seeing the sky light up with beautiful lights.

Fireworks in the far distance are making a loud boom,
Then the children scream to see the awesome sight.

Thinking of the freedom that our soldiers are keeping,
Families at home wishing they didn't have to fight.

Praying and hoping they are home next Independence Day,
To see the stars and bright lights while lying in the grass.
