Life is a long and surprising journey
One filled with changes and mistakes
And it can be harsh and unforgiving
But there are blows that we must take

People who will not understand us
Make us cry and feel alone
People who will really love us
And make us feel at home

Roads we take that are curvy
And might lead us a little astray
Ones that go perfectly straight
Make us feel we've gone the right way

The thing I've learned in life is simple
Only worry about your own
Because in the end it's only yours
And only yours alone
