Appreciation of simple peace

This cup in hand,
Symbolic meant,
I take a draught,
I gain the strength,
My feet regain,
The roots once lost,
I’m to myself,
Again in peace.

I think cut quick!
To inner thoughts,
To reach the calm,
Which shall succeed,
I gain the ground,
And smile to self.

Grateful to God,
The peace regained,
My love for self,
Is tossed aside,

I cannot reach
With out His help,
The peace that reigns,
This soul this stretch.

Thankful again,
I keep in mind,
His will be done,
All will be fine,
He states to me,
Find rest in Me.

Assure my game,
The least secured,
On bended knee,
I thank him deep.
