I wrote this after one of my friends left me a few years ago. It still holds true because she hasn't remembered that I still exist. We used to be great friends, but it just fell through...



Lost Friend

I lost a friend today,
Lost her to the bittersweetness of change.

I, though, remain unchanged;
Except for the scar she left.

She will never begin to understand,
She made me more than I could ever be;

I am lost in the darkness without a guide,
My heart is torn because she left.

Five years would not make me ever forget
About my lost friend.
