Shakespearean Sonnet Written For Endless Night Poetry Contest. Three prompts used. |
| When darkness overcomes the light of life The Succubus of my dreams comes to call. When lightness gives in to the fight of strife The Island Of Death wants me in its hall. I fend off dueling death with sacrifice. and hope the Siren's shriek is satisfied. If murder fails me once I do it twice And once even gave a groom and his bride. I hope the haunting hunger is sated With every single dark death I compel. I know its never really abated Until my fate has finally befell. For now I fight by giving over blood To try and stay afloat amidst the flood. |
