  On the far side of the great land of Nira, tucked neatly out of the way, was the farm village of Coerul. Life was peaceful, predictable, quiet....
  Maybe a little too quiet for Shri. Try as he might, it seemed he was destined for nothing greater than the family trade.
  Until they came: soldiers of the Emperor of Nira. With an unknown agenda, they wreak destruction on the village of Coerul, killing Shri's father and kidnapping his sister.
  And now, it seems, Shri got his wish. His life is anything but quiet....

I haven't touched this story since 2010, apparently. I hope to finish it someday, but I currently have other priorities.
