If you had known
That was our last day
Our last time together
Would you have stayed?
Said words that were needed?
Listened to my words?

If you had known
Our tomorrow wouldn't be
Would you have avoided
Knowing me at all?
Letting me love you?
The pain of goodbye?

If you had known
We only had that moment
Would you have cherished it
Rather than treating it like
Just another night?
Or left me that much sooner?

If you had known
What was to follow
Would you have tried
To change the outcome?
To keep me by your side?
Or just let fate have its way?
