"Hallelujah & Amen"  11.29.07

I've got the scars to prove
That my sins have been forgiven
And that they've been forgotten
In the midst of this decision.
-Hallelujah.
I buried myself alive,
In hopes of walking with God someday.
Instead I trapped myself inside my mind
And died somewhere along the way.
My hopes and dreams came crashing down
Like the stars in the sky did last night
When the Earth quaked and shaked
Breaking us down inside,
Into the categories we are today.
And I am bound
By my insecurities
To sit here in misery and apathy
Dying slowly inside me
And praying for Humanity
As everything slowy decays away.
Dear God, please save me a place,
Amongst your Angels and your Grace.
Amen.
