The Alien In My Backyard

It's not how he looks--
If it were I'd have figured out sooner.

Maybe it's how he talks--
Dumb kid, never knows when to shut up!

No, it must be what he talks about:
He is a Why kid
And all the Whats
Despise him for it
And pretend not to hear.

That's what's wrong with him!

Which means that all I have to do is
Not listen--
Though he is all of me I've ever known.
