A poem about relationships enduring the ups and downs of life


Finding a home
in you and me
learning how to live in it
is the key

Strife hurts us
Time stands still
Stirring of love
Waiting to refill

Breaking down the walls
With little respite
Torn into tears
Washing away into light

With desire and passion
Focus in simplicity
How can we miss
What we are given so freely

It can only be brighter
After such anguished pursuit
Deepening the love
Solid and resolute
