i changed the order of my poem to make it a song

You said you didn't know how to say goodbye.
I hugged you as we cried.
I told you everything would be ok.
That'd we'd still be friends til our dying days.
I meant what I said.
But I still don't want to say goodbye.

HER?! My best friend.
The one I went to talk to about us.

I cry myself to sleep now.
I walk through life like nothing's wrong.
Put on the fake smile.
They say that "behind every smile is a broken heart."
I agree.

"I don't wanna talk about it.
I just wanna cry in front of you,
Because I'm in love with you."
And that's all I want to do.

I try to tell you but I just can't.
I feel like I have to be strong,
For you, for everyone.
I just don't want to say goodbye.
