Overcome

Though the blind light and winding wind block my path,

I overcome;

Though the 3D iMax of my mind only displays failure,

I overcome;

Though my self esteem is on a constant chopping block,

I overcome;

Opposition, oppresion, redemption, salvation, I need none,

For I overcome.

Shall I Rise

Shall I Rise?

Or should i stay down,

just to be pushed around.











Shall I rise?

To fight another day,

or just to cower in the fray.



Shall I Rise?

Why do you do these this,

is it that your purpose went amiss.



Shall I Rise?

Only to take you down,

for you’re the one that made me frown.



Shall I Rise?

I will never go down without a fight,

from dusk till dawn, day till night.

Forever and ever I rise,

till the last day of your demise.
