The places I've been with a loved one

We've made love on the shore lines
as the tide washed over our sun burnt bodies.
We've danced to no music under the stars
as the moon beams floated upon the waves.
We've confessed our love from a hundred roof tops
as the sun gleamed like jewels in the sky.
We've sat and talked for hours in coffee shops
as the world passed us by outside their doors.
We've shared passionate kisses in the city of romance
as men played tunes of love on their mandolins.
We've traveled from one coast to another
as people back home wondered where we'd go next.
We've discussed our future in a perfect world
as loved ones gathered round us for dinner.
We've done all these things together
as I close my eyes at night and drift off into dreams.
