Meaning of Friend

A real life friend challenged me to write something positive...this is the result!

A friend.
One to the end.
Having an ear to bend.
One around which need not pretend
To blend.

All told--
Friendship not cold.
Can not be bought or sold.
Power through the strife and will hold...
Help mold.

Held tight
Throughout the night,
And when you feel a fright.
Friendship like this is out of sight.
So right.

And how
God sees me now,
Dripping sweat from my brow
Says in His garden I will plow.
Allow

You to
Turn night from blue.
Wonder what's really true.
Give you my heart and my love too...
For you.
