A Star to Guide Me

For the Coloring The World Contest.

I stare at the zillion stars
studding the black, velvet night sky
and wonder which among them is
a star to guide me and support
me like a mother protects her
child and steers him to safety.

I find my answer in Your grace
and blessings, showered from above.
You are the brightest star that glows,
and illuminates my dark world
with the light of your compassion,
love, affection and forgiveness.

A star to guide me, You sparkle
in my life when things go amiss.
A star to guide me, You are there
when I am saddled with problems
to lighten my load and resolve them.
A star to guide me, in times of
difficulty when no one
is there to share my affliction.
A star to guide me, when I do
something wrong and repent for it.
A star to guide me, I feel your
presence in everything I do.
