The risk I take to be me.

Emotional Risk

Emotional risk that I take every day,
standing in line, trying to get my way
not judging the looks that come
I am hiding so many lies.

Emotional risk,
I take it all for granted.
It's who I am.

I will bear my bones to feel real
anything to begin to heal
this pattern of self destruction
the emotional betrayal of my heart
years ignored and now restored.
The emotional risk I take to be who I am.
