If I had known
that you would be gone,
thousand miles away from me
I would have tried
to knit us closer,
as close as could be.

If I had known
that you would pretend,
You'd just show you love me
I would have tried
to pull you away
as soon as could be.

If I had known
that you would show me
the darkest path your eyes could see,
I would have tried
to turn away from you
even if you came back to me.
