A children's bedtime poem - illustrations to follow |
| Go little sleepyhead to the world of sweet dreams Float down the rivers and bubbling streams Explore the forests and swing through the trees Trek through the mountains and swim in the seas Run with the zebras all black and white See how they shimmer in the moonlight Swing with the monkey's amongst the leaves Faces all smiling as they play in the trees Walk with the elephant as she journey's afar Following that one distant bright star Fly with the birds, hear their call Their bright coloured wings will not let them fall Sing with the wolf as he calls to the moon Every night he sings a different tune Huddle with penguins as they stand in the snow See northern lights make the night glow Float with the seals on water so deep Feel as it ripples, shifts and sweeps Swim with the fish in the deep blue sea Darting about, catching their tea Play with the dolphins as they chatter and squeek Until, like you, they settle to sleep Seek out the secrets, stories to be told Find all the treasures that your heart can hold And dream all the dreams that wait to unfold |
