a mother's day poem dedicated to my son.

nestled inside my womb,
snuggled safe and warm.

body changed to make yours grow.
heartbeat safe and healthy, big and strong.

uterus growing, resting and pure.
happily preparing for your debut.

two females before,
a male completes the circle.

family whole and complete.
starting over, he saved my life.

a rough start and troubled sleep.
loving and loud, loved by all.

sweet and mean wrapped up in one.

two years gone by and be still my heart,
he makes me laugh and makes me cry.

no chance would i ask for another, no way
would i say goodbye.

center of my world and dictator of my home.
i love you my boy, forever more.
