My Rock

When I was little I knew you were there

When I fell in love I felt you were with me

The times of grief you seemed to guide me

The illness of my father you dried my tears

My mother drifting away you held her hand

What have I done to deserve your love for me

I know in my heart you are always with me

The light in my life and the joy in my soul

The reason tomorrow is the color of gold

I see your light in the distance beckoning me
