WON FIRST PLACE IN ROUND TWENTY-EIGHT OF A LITTLE BIT OF POETRY CONTEST |
| Traces of my home life float away, while the wind blows. The air is fresh and soothing on my toungue. My walls are gone; I'm laughing freely, sitting in a spacious field that billows in the wind. The rolling dunes are equipped with freshly mown grass. I'm on the most exquisite holiday of my life, here in New Zealand. This is the old version that originally won the contest: Somewhere better than home. I'm on the most exquisite holiday of my life. The rolling dunes are equipped with freshly mown grass in a spacious field that billows in the wind. The air is fresh and soothing on my tongue. Traces of my home life float away, while the wind blows. My walls are gone; I'm laughing freely, here in New Zealand. |
