Answered prayer in the unexpected

Prayer that was answered, that at first wasn't recognized. A grateful outlook changed it.

Answered Prayer in the Unexpected.

I wanted a guilt free day,
without a to-do list.
To be restored within Your love,
but distractions would persist.

Then one morning I awoke:
to the power going out.
Everything suddenly was silent,
something happened without a doubt.

The storm brought heavy snow,
compromising the power.
Allowing me to bask in Your love,
giving me a few precious hours.

At first, I could only hear the silence,
but then I saw the answer to prayer.
I had the time I asked You for,
I gratefully was restored in Your care.

Thank You Lord, for the messages,
of gratefulness I have read lately.
Thank you for prompting within my heart,
to recognize and acknowledge it so quickly.
