2nd draft of a poem

light -

i often find myself
drawn to the
light...

its warmth

its glow

its honesty.

so what about
light within light?

am i drawn to that?

i am.

if light exposes truth
then light within light
reveals truth inside of truth?

what does that mean?
can truth be disclosed
twice?

or maybe truth is made visible
in other ways.

truth by text
      and image

truth of touch
      and sight

truth that is layered
      and slowly
          peeled away -

until the light
within the light
uncovers all

and leaves me
wondering

what should i leave

in the dark?
