The Eagle

Here is a poem I wrote about the Eagle. Hope you enjoy it.

The Eagle





The eagle stands tall

So proud and so free

With its white head

It stands for liberty



The eagle has strength

With its talons so strong

In the land of the brave

It unquestionably belongs



The eagle is so majestic

When it is in flight

It symbolizes freedom

For which we had to fight



The eagle soars high in the sky

Its wings spread so far and wide

It lets everyone know 

That it is this country’s pride



The eagle has keen eyes

Better than you and me

It uses them to watch

Over the land of the free



The eagle is the emblem

Of red white and blue

The land where freedom

Has been given to me and you
