A walk through the darkness of despair

Descend the darkened staircase
slowly and with care.
Block out the screaming terror
that is waiting there.

as you blindly travel on.
Pray to God for the light
of an early dawn.

don't be caught up in his sway,
don't pause or stop to wonder.

The black abyss surrounds you.
Fetid evil scents the air.
