Motionless mass of orange- Sprawl of marmalade in a wing back chair. And then a tail twitch, a sigh. The furry mountain moves at last, If only to roll over. Luxurious stretch, eyes lazily open just enough- Yellow slits glance at me, Close just as slowly. She turns her head away, Free to express her contempt of her Human. Until she's hungry again. |
