This is a short poem for fun |
| I thought that fairies were a myth or fables for a child Until I read of sightings of them in the wild One lady took her music and did a fairy dance There was no controlling her for she was in a trance When you see a butterfly close to the end of day Look closer at its body before it flies away Its head may be human with eyes like hummingbirds It may have a squeaky voice with which it says its words Its wings brightly sparkle in the setting sun It may try to warn you of a wrong that’s being done Be ever so mindful of what you see and hear The music they make is like a tinkling in the ear If you catch sight of one you must not look away With the blink of an eye the fairy will not stay Count yourself lucky if you ever see just one They are very careful who will see them having fun By, VGray The Miscellaneous Series 3/30/2009 |
