A short poem about a prophetic dream |
| The snakes were large and many around me they did slide I attempted to control them; into a large bag I gathered and tied They became quite angry and suddenly shrank in size Then, from the bag they slithered out before my very eyes Now, these little snakes, I gathered once again There was a smaller bag that I place them in As I picked them up, this time, one bit me on the hand This snake doesn’t want to be controlled by God or man After this I awoke from my prophetic dream And waited for God’s reason for my dream to be seen Today I read a passage in Genesis 49 The viper nipped the horse’s heels to make the rider fall behind Is this the answer God revealed about my dream? That even on the narrow road the devil can still be seen He allows me to make progress then he slithers into sight Trying to distract me from my journey to the light I must be vigilant and toss him to the side Remind him that he lost this prize when my savior died |
