The leader  -  a satire 

“an eye for an eye will make the whole world blind”



‘I wanna live’

He cried in agony , words much rather not dare try to express

As the fellow soldiers carried off their brother

In tears 

In blood

Of the red color group

'I won’t leave him‘

He screamed   

As tears from his eyes

Gave shame to the mid-summer perspiration

‘We shall not falter‘– the leader wrote in his speech

‘We shall not back down

I know the terrors but nothing less than a victory will do

Victory ! Victory ! Victory'!

Meanwhile...

Dragged out of the random bombing

Sinews of young hearts tore

To leave or to stay -

‘For the greater good’ – the leader said

‘Victory ! Victory ! Victory !’
