Time moved on

But from my heart you never faded

Years passed by but in my  thoughts you remained unjaded

The image of you remained etched in my mind

Standing on the doorstep waving  goodbye



Life may have moved on for others

But for me, it froze right there

I knew no matter the distance that drove us apart

There will always be a  place for me in your heart



I’ll be in your prayers like you are in mine every single day

But I was so wrong  is what you made me realize today

Time moved on and it cast you shores away

Where the sight and sound  of  me become a distant memory



The promises of yesteryears  lay forgotten somewhere

And It has turned you my friend into a stranger
