Heavy is the soul

this is an older one that I rewrote

                          Heavy is the soul

                        burdened by this toll.

      No bandage nor stitch could help cure this pain.

    Burning through my head slowly driving me insane.

      This agony won't budge as if it's here to stay.

  This darkness grows thicker as the world fades away.

                  Everyone will come and go,

    just as the summer's sun and the winter's snow.

  But the impression that they leave will never disappear,

  and I'll always hear their voice whispering into my ear.

      You caught me blind and by the tip of my tail,

            locked me away in the corners of hell.

              Crushed and betrayed all over again,

            my mistake of you was my greatest sin.

          Such a fool to think you weren't the same,

        too ignorant and blind to see your little game.
