Remember when we used to be so discreet
To touch each other made our hearts skip a beat
Faster and faster our love did grow
Wanting everyone in the world to know
Remember when our eyes first met the others
Not being able to keep emotions under cover
Smiles on our face spread from ear too ear
Listen real close hear our hearts cheer
Remember when you would send a note
I still have several that you wrote
Our first date we made love in your truck
Not being seen in that parking lot was pure luck
Remember when you would come to my place
The first time you spent the night I felt so safe
We would stay up late with the TV on
But usually by 3 am you were gone
Remember when we moved your things in
Deciding to share our lives together we begin
Taking one day at a time you and I
Having someone there now if needing to cry
Remember when our first Christmas came and went
It was so wondrous and time well spent
Sharing my life with you feels so right
Now I get to lie by your side every night
