Western Sky

I wrote this for a contest but I really like it.

It began when we realized there were two suns
Setting in a western sky
This love that neither of us can seem to deny

Our two hearts beating
Our hands intertwined
We sit together side by side

How can this be?
You and me?
It's as much a mystery to me as the two suns I see

With colors so bold and a light so bright
It reflects our love which has taken flight
Quaking both our worlds with its mysterious might

Over the land
Over the sea
It takes flight into this western sky for all of eternity
