The challenge each soul faces

There are challenges
rocky outcrops block the road,
stones on the path cause bruises
to bare feet and toes.

Despite the hardship and work
our souls continue
on the road of transformation,
following lines
on a invisible map,
noticing the turning points
only after it is too late
to retrace our steps
and chose
an easier way.

Once the change has begun,
our spiritual destiny
takes over
life is never the same
again.
