My Fairytale

mixed several children fairytales in my poem :)

I know it seems silly
Still believing in fairytales
Even though every princess gets
A happy ending

I don't know why they always do
Probably don't want to crush the little
Children's heart
They need to learn soon, that all fairytales don't have a happy ending

I might be a monster
To wreck a child dreams
But they need to realize, in this world
There won't always be a mama to hold you

All fairytales don't have a happy ending
A mermaid disappears in bubbles
Forgotten and gone
Loving a person who doesn't even know

Little girls getting kidnapped
Little boys get abused
And people still wishing on stars that won't come true)

It all seems hard to suck in the truth
Because not all fairytales
Have a happy ending
Sometimes the Prince never finds the princess

For me I still believe
That my prince charming will come
As I sleep dreamlessly
For the kiss to wake me up
