Side by Side

A poem which goes "side by side" with my previous poem, "Eternal Love".

Where were you

When I was lost and confused?

…right by my side.

Where were you

When I was lonely and afraid?

…you were right by my side.

Where were you

When I was silent and empty?

Still….right by my side.

Where were you

When I was vulnerable and weak?

As always…..right by my side.

There I can always find you

In the spot no one has been able to fill.

By my side and close to my heart

I will always know

You will always be

Right there by my side.
