A Wife's Prayer

This is poem #30 for April. This one is what it says in the title. Minute poem form.

A Wife’s Prayer
The time has come to say “Good-bye.”
I will not cry.
For duty calls
Before night falls.

And as I close my eyes tonight
A solemn rite
Will be to say
These words I pray.

God bring my husband back to me.
I ask of thee.
Keep harm away
Both night and day.

This is for all wives and husbands whose military spouse is away and/or on duty. It applies to all branches of the military. God bless them and keep them all safe.
