Absurdist short story on coming to terms with meaninglessness. |
| This is a short story I wrote some months ago. Whilst I have deliberately left it quite open to interpretation, it is essentially a recognition of a feeling of not knowing whether one's existence has a point or not. During the first part of the story this is supposed to feel very oppressive and to make the reader feel confused and as if their zest for life is being compromised by the words on the page. As the story continues with the introduction of Mr. Wrinkledick III Jr, the atmosphere alters somewhat, giving in to life's probable meaningless wholeheartedly, embracing it even, to light-hearted and somewhat comic effect. |
