| I see the way you hold your head They think that it should bend down instead But I say, carry on I see the way you always smile They want you to hide it for awhile But I say, carry on I see the way you laugh so loud They say that you should turn it down But I say, carry on I see the spring in your step They say to walk like everyone else But I say, carry on I see the tangle in your mane The one they say you should tame But I say, carry on I see the scars that cross your wrists The cuts they say you should resist But I say, battle on I see the tear tracks on your face The ones they say you need to erase But I say, carry on I see the pain inside your eyes The thing they say that you should hide But I say, carry on |
