Drive me to the point
Where success is inevitable
I appreciate your concern
But optimism
Is a virtue
Pessimism is frowned upon
In my realm
Where my mind resides
It takes but a dream to survive
Working alongside the lord
To answer your prayers
Turned away for too many years
Told "you can't" too many times
Laughed at by too many guys
Heckled, doubted, spit on, slept on, beat down
But I come out unscathed with a new insight
To live moving toward the spotlight
Where I belong
Where dreams come true
