It all started with cooler temperatures
A portion of the of heart broken away
How did it happen
I went the wrong way

Fatigue caused by quake
Worked loose by traffic
Forcing me to brake
Changing the course of fate

Extreme condition
Detour missed
Failed to follow my own volition
Missed that special tryst

With age comes wisdom
Experience from life
Had I bettor vision
I wouldn’t need a surgical knife

A felicitous time
Life as I want it
It would have been mine
There is still time
