Celestial Ballet

A silver net of illumination
spreads across the firmament
capturing the music
of infinity.

I wonder at the meaning
of this display as
the intricate dance of
planets and suns continue.
Each has a place,
each has a movement
that defines its purpose,
that confirms its existence.

Deep in the darkness,
new suns are born and
old suns die –
not at the vengeful hand
of a mysterious God
but as a balance of
energy and matter
and the dance continues.

The celestial radiance
shines on my imagination
and challenges me
to explore, to question,
to dance.
