The clock is ticking

Aspirations of things to come
and places not yet seen.
An eagerness, a longing still
for wishes to be fulfilled
before too quickly
the time has passed
the clock ticks down
to the last minutes.

To be able to say
that we not only survived
but that we actually thrived.
Living life to its fullest,
not sitting on a couch
wishing it would come to pass,
but hammering away
at our bucket list.

Planning strategies of
places to travel;
so many adventures to be had --
so many adventures to be shared.
