The Voting Game



So now that I can vote

The questions now begin

Just which way should I vote here

These ads make my head spin

Each tells you something different

Evading most the facts

Each politician decries

His opponents’ prior acts

And reading all this jargon

Most I do not understand

So how are we to settle

Any troubles in this land

I want to do the right thing

But I do find it hard

I wish for all these politics

I had a worldly bard

To sort through all the nonsense

And tell me what is true

So that when I cast my vote today

It’s not one that I will rue!
