Pindaric Ode poetry ~Newbies are the judge |
To my mother so full of grace with no conditions or demands; a loving touch of a mother's hands. Wiping the tears upon my face; showing me how to live by chance, and to always give life a second glance Over the years you have become my friend with words of wisdom that I commend. As time goes on and you grow older- It will be my turn to lend my shoulder. To hold you up when you are not strong With compassion; as life moves along. A Pindaric Ode is a poem with set meter and rhyme just like all other odes. It is defined by three triads: the strophe and the antistrophe being of the same stanza form and an epode as the final which is different. |
